Meet Your Therapist
Madeleine Funnell
AdvDip SACH Hyp. GHR (reg)
NLP and Time Line Therapy™ Practioner
Reiki II Attuned Healer
My therapy practice is in Ely, Cambridgeshire. I have studied a wide range of therapies to ensure that I can adjust to fit my clients needs, rather than my clients having to fit their issues into my qualifications. I have had an interest in personal development from early adulthood, and have worked to expand my qualifications in my own particular areas of interest which include; self confidence; childhood sexual abuse; emotional and physical abuse; addictions and loss.
I have studied with SACH (School of Analytical and Cognitive Hypnotherapy), achieving my Advanced Diploma, combining Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy and Counselling as an integrative approach to therapy. Studying and learning is a life long journey, I am gradually working towards my PhD.
I am also a qualified NLP and Time Line Therapy™ Practitioner and attuned to Reiki II. My continuing development programme allows me to adjust to client’s needs to enhance their individual therapeutic process.
One of the most important processes we can undertake in life, is taking the learning’s from a negative situation and empower ourselves to change. Sometimes what is missing, is the belief in ourselves to succeed in this enormous task, making it manageable and achievable and actually living the change enables us to be content with ourselves as individuals.
What makes a good therapist?
A good therapist combines their training with personal experience, has regular supervision and above all works from their heart using empathy and an eclectic approach.
“ Reading books about music will not make you
a good musician, books assist in the learning process
and reinforce knowledge and wisdom but you have
to play the instrument and have a teacher listening
when you play. When you hit the right notes, everyone
feels like singing, everyone wants to learn to play”
