Hypnotherapy

Many people have a fear of being 'hypnotised' because they fear losing control. With hypnotherapy, your eyes are closed and your mind will be more inwardly focused. You are simply given the opportunity by the language and communication skills of the skilled Hypnotherapist to use your imagination to process what you need to process, you are conscious throughout and will remember the session clearly. It is a perfectly natural state that you experience on a daily basis, we don't call this hypnosis, some would call it driving on a familiar road or daydreaming!

Conditions that may be improved or removed by Hypnotherapy include;

Trauma - Phobias
Relationship Issues - Grief - Stress - Weight- Loss
Smoking - Depression - Self Esteem Fears - Addictions
Panic Attacks - Confidence - Self-Harm
Anxiety - Insomnia - Compulsions
Emotional issues

Hypnosis is only used after the relationship between client and therapist has been established. Once in this state the power of your subconscious mind can be used to reduce or eliminate unwanted habits and behaviours, increase self-esteem or release repressed emotional pain. Hypnosis is a wonderful tool for therapy helping people to achieve greater levels of confidence, better health and increased emotional stability. It is especially recommended for anyone interested in increasing self-awareness. Used as an integrative therapy with Counselling and Psychotherapy the results are incredibly empowering.

In the Hypnotic State, the doorway between the conscious and the subconscious is opened, memories become easily accessible, and new information is stored. In the Hypnotic State, you are not really 'thinking' in the traditional sense. You are 'experiencing' without questioning, without critical judgement or analysis, like when you watch a movie, the Hypnotherapist can make suggestions that are very likely to 'stick' - precisely because your conscious mind is not getting in the way. You are not 'judging' or being 'critical' of the suggestions.
